Line and Copy Editing

Line and copy editing are integral parts of writing and publishing. Whether you’re self-publishing or just wanting some extra eyes on your prose, line editing will help you polish it up to the best it can be.

I focus on grammar, punctuation, consistency and clarity, all while retaining your voice and style.

My current rate is $0.02AUD per word.

I completely understand how expensive and inaccessible editing can be for some people. As such, for those coming from marginalised backgrounds and/or facing financial difficulties, I am happy to discuss reduced rates based on your budget.

Because of the amount of detail that goes into line and copy editing, I will only edit complete manuscripts that have undergone at least one round of developmental revisions.

I offer two rounds of editing. Both of these are included in the initial cost quoted. Any further rounds of edits will incur another fee at a reduced rate.

Expectations for payments are a 25% deposit, with the rest paid before the first round of edits are sent.

With all my editing, I provide a maximum 5000 word free sample edit. This is so that I can understand your writing style and so that you can see if my editing style works for you.

Writing Workshops

I am currently available to present writing workshops for youth groups and queer groups in the Metropolitan Melbourne area and surroundings suburbs, including for councils, libraries and schools.

Previous workshop topics have included:

Representation in genre fiction
